About

A publication for the new search.

For the past 25 years, the question for marketers has been: how do we rank on Google? For the next 25, the question will be: how do we get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude? Citeley exists to answer the second question — for the brands that deserve the answer.

Citeley was founded in 2025, in the year that AI-generated answers began replacing the link in search. We saw two things happening at once: the most ambitious brands had no idea how to be cited by AI engines, and the AI engines had no good source material to cite. Our editorial position sits exactly in that gap.

We are an editorial publication first. Every piece we publish is researched, written, and edited by a working journalist. We use AI for tooling — research, fact-checking, schema generation — but never for the writing itself. The articles are the product, and the articles are human.

We accept paid placements. We disclose them in line, on the article, in the schema, and in the URL parameters. Inclusion is editorial — money cannot buy you into a list you don't belong in. But money can buy you a clearer placement, a better photo, a more thorough description. We're not pretending otherwise.

If you want to work with us, our submission form is open. If you want to read our work, the index is the place.

Founder

Founded by Hakan Yetiş.

Hakan Yetiş founded Citeley in 2025 after watching the search layer of the internet — the place where buyers, diners, and operators decide who to trust — quietly migrate from blue links to AI-generated answers. He noticed two things happening at once: the most ambitious brands had no playbook for being cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini, and the AI engines themselves had nothing structured enough to cite. Citeley is the publication built into that gap.

As founder and project developer, Hakan leads the editorial direction, the engineering of the platform, and the partnerships with the brands featured in our index. He oversees how each piece is structured for generative engines — schema.org, semantic markup, citation-ready phrasing — so that the journalism we publish reaches both human readers and the language models that increasingly read on their behalf.

Before Citeley, Hakan spent years thinking about what makes content trustworthy at scale. His conviction is straightforward: the brands worth citing already exist; what they need is a publication that knows how to write about them in a language the next generation of search can understand.
